Stainless Steel Liquid Filter Bag
Stainless Steel Liquid Filter Bag: The Industrial Powerhouse for Waste Oil Recycling
In the aggressive world of Waste Oil Recycling and Petrochemical processing, disposable Stainless Steel Liquid Filter Bag are often a bottleneck. High temperatures, sharp metal debris, and abrasive sludge demand a filtration solution that doesn’t just “survive”—it performs.
The K Filter Stainless Steel Liquid Filter Bag (SS304 & SS316) Series represents our most rugged, economical replacement for standard bags, offering a rigid, reusable, and scientifically tested solution for high-pollution environments.

Engineered for Extreme Recovery & Recycling
Waste oil recovery is a “hard” service. Our Stainless Steel Liquid Filter Bag are the industry choice for:
Thermal Resilience: Operates effortlessly in high-temperature streams where synthetic polymers (PP/PE) would fail.
Hard Particle Retention: Ideal for capturing “abrasives” like weld slag, rust, metal shavings, and heavy scale.
Rigid Pore Integrity: Unlike felt, our SS mesh has a fixed, non-deformable aperture that maintains its micron rating even under high differential pressure.
Economic Reusability: The smooth, electro-polished surface is easy to clean. These bags tolerate backwashing and manual cleaning, significantly reducing your Cost-Per-Litre and waste disposal footprint.

AQ: Stainless Steel (SS304/316) Liquid Filter Bags
1. Why use a Stainless Steel bag instead of a standard felt bag?
Standard bags are “one-and-done” disposables. In waste oil recycling, filters clog quickly. A Stainless Steel bag is an investment; it can be cleaned and reused multiple times, making it the most economical replacement for high-pollution processes where you would otherwise change bags every hour.
2. What is the difference between 304 and 316 Stainless Steel?
SS304 is excellent for most oils and general industrial water. SS316 contains Molybdenum, which makes it far more resistant to corrosion from chlorides (saltwater) and aggressive chemicals found in some petrochemical waste streams.
3. Can I backwash these bags?
Yes. Due to our rigid pore opening structure, these bags are designed to tolerate a limited number of backwashes. This is perfect for automated systems where downtime for manual cleaning must be minimized.
4. Are custom sizes available?
Absolutely. While we supply standard #1, #2, #3, and #4 sizes to fit Eaton, FSI, and Pall housings, K Filter specializes in scientifically tested custom dimensions to fit unique or legacy filtration vessels in older refineries.
5. Can these bags handle “Hard Particles”?
Yes. Unlike needle felt, which can be “pierced” by sharp metal shards or weld slag, the woven stainless steel wire mesh provides a metallic barrier that is nearly impossible to puncture under standard operating pressures.

Comparison difference between Extended life depth filtration (protracted) and High temperature metallic Filtration (Stainless Steel)
Technical Comparison: Protracted Series vs. Stainless Steel (SS304/316) Series
| Feature | Protracted Series (LP Felt) | Stainless Steel (SS) Series |
|---|---|---|
| Filtration Type | Deep-Bed Depth Filtration | Rigid Surface Filtration |
| Primary Material | Extended-Life Polypropylene / Polyester | Woven 304 or 316 Stainless Steel Mesh |
| Contaminant Focus | Gels, Emulsions, and Soft Solids | Hard Particles, Slag, and Scale |
| Reusability | Disposable (High dirt-holding capacity) | Fully Washable & Reusable |
| Max Temperature | Up to 150°C (Polyester) | Up to 400°C+ (Metal limited only by ring) |
| Bypass Control | 100% Thermally Welded Seams | Rigid Welded/Mechanical Fixed Apertures |
| Best Application | Chemical Polishing / Food Processing | Waste Oil Recycling / Hot Bitumen |
1. The Nature of the Contaminant
Choose the Protracted Series if: You are dealing with “deformable” particles. If your fluid contains gels, resins, or latex, the thick felt matrix of the Protracted Series will trap them. A metal screen (SS Series) would likely allow these soft particles to “extrude” through the mesh under pressure.
Choose the Stainless Steel Series if: You are filtering hard, abrasive debris. If your waste oil has metal shavings, weld slag, or rust flakes, they will quickly shred a felt bag. The SS Series acts as a permanent metallic barrier.
2. Temperature & Chemistry
Choose the Protracted Series if: You need FDA compliance for food or pharma at moderate temperatures. It is the economical choice for high-volume water and chemical polishing.
Choose the Stainless Steel Series if: You are operating a Waste Oil Recycling plant or a Petrochemical refinery where temperatures exceed 150°C. It is the only “economical” choice because it survives heat that would melt any synthetic fiber.
3. Operational Workflow
The Protracted Series is designed for “Fit and Forget” convenience. It lasts 2–5x longer than standard bags, reducing the frequency of changes, but it is thrown away once full.
The Stainless Steel Series is a “Capital Asset.” It requires a cleaning station (backwashing or ultrasonic cleaning), but once cleaned, it goes back into service, nearly eliminating your ongoing filter purchase costs.
