Kerodispo Disposable G4 Filter
Kerodispo Disposable G4 Filter Series: High-Efficiency ISO 16890 Filtration
In the demanding climates of Europe and the Middle East, maintaining indoor air quality requires filtration that can handle everything from fine urban particulate matter to heavy desert dust. The Kerodispo Disposable G4 filter Series (Z Series) is engineered to meet these challenges, providing a robust first line of defense for HVAC and ventilation systems.
Superior Media Technology
The heart of the Kerodispo filter lies in its folded hydrophobic polyolefin fiber. Unlike standard filters, our media utilizes electrostatic treating technology, which significantly enhances the capture of sub-micron particles without sacrificing airflow.
- Hydrophobic Properties: Naturally resists moisture, making it ideal for high-humidity coastal regions or industrial environments.
- High Dust-Holding Capacity: The pleated “Z-line” design increases the surface area, ensuring a longer service life and fewer filter changes.
- Consistent Airflow: Engineered to maintain a low pressure drop, reducing energy consumption for your ventilation fans.
Structural Integrity & Design
Air bypass is the enemy of clean air. The Kerodispo Disposable G4 Filter is built to remain rigid and sealed even under high-velocity conditions:
- Durable Housing: The media is encased in a water-resistant, heavy-duty cardboard frame. For specialized applications, we also offer zinc-coated steel or plastic frames.
- Reinforced Support: Every unit features a cardboard grid and an integrated spacer pad. This prevents the pleats from fluttering or collapsing during high flow rates.
- Zero-Leak Seal: A specialized hot-melt adhesive system seals the media to the frame, ensuring that 100% of the air passes through the filter, not around it.

1. What is the primary function of the Kerodispo Disposable G4 Filter?
The Kerodispo Disposable G4 Filter is a primary (pre-filter) designed to capture coarse particulate matter such as sand, lint, hair, and large dust particles. Its main job is to protect your HVAC system’s coils and fans, or to act as a shield for more expensive secondary/HEPA filters downstream
2. What standards does this filter comply with?
It is fully compliant with the latest global and regional standards:
ISO 16890: Classified as ISO Coarse (offering high gravimetric efficiency).
EN779:2012: Classified as G4.
ASHRAE 52.2: Rated as MERV 8
3. What makes the “Z Series” different from standard panel filters?
The “Z Series” features a pleated (folded) design. This significantly increases the surface area of the filter media within the same frame size, allowing for a much higher dust-holding capacity and lower resistance to airflow compared to flat-panel filters

Technical & Environmental Durability
4. Can this filter handle the high humidity or coastal air of the Middle East?
Yes. The media is made from hydrophobic polyolefin fiber, which naturally repels water. Furthermore, the standard frame is constructed from water-resistant durable cardboard, ensuring the filter won’t collapse or soften in humid environments.
5. How does the “Electrostatic Treating Technology” work?
Our media isn’t just a physical mesh; it is electrostatically charged. This “magnetic” effect pulls smaller dust particles out of the air stream and onto the fibers, providing a higher level of filtration efficiency without needing a denser, more restrictive mesh.
6. What is the purpose of the spacer pad?
In systems with high airflow rates, air pressure can cause filter pleats to “flutter” or bunch together. The integrated spacer pad acts as a stabilizer, maintaining even pleat spacing and ensuring the filter remains structurally sound under stress
Comparison: Disposable vs. Washable
| Feature | Kerodispo Disposable G4 | Typical Washable Filter |
| Filtration Efficiency | Higher (Electrostatic + Pleated) | Lower (Usually coarse mesh/foam) |
| Maintenance | Quick & Easy (Replace) | Time-consuming (Wash & Dry) |
| Initial Cost | Lower | Higher |
| Air Quality | Better protection for fine filters | Basic protection only |

Installation & Maintenance
7. How often should I replace my Kerodispo G4 filters?
Replacement intervals depend on local air quality. However, we recommend changing the filter when the pressure drop reaches 250 Pa. In high-dust regions like the Middle East, visual inspections should be conducted monthly.
8. Are custom sizes available?
Absolutely. While we offer standard depths of 22mm (1”), 45mm (2”), and 95mm (4”), we can manufacture non-standard dimensions to fit any existing AHU (Air Handling Unit) or ventilation housing.
9. Can I get a frame other than cardboard?
Yes. For heavy-duty industrial use or extreme moisture conditions, the Kerodispo G4 can be manufactured with a zinc-coated steel or plastic frame for added rigidity and corrosion resistance

Sustainability & Safety
10. Is the filter environmentally friendly?
The polyolefin fibers used are continuous, meaning they do not “shed” or release microfibers into the air stream. The cardboard frame versions are also easier to dispose of or incinerate in municipal waste systems compared to all-metal alternatives.
11. Is it safe for sensitive environments?
Yes. The hot-melt adhesive system used to seal the media is solvent-free and low-odor, making it suitable for use in hospitals, schools, and commercial office buildings.
Vacuuming (Emergency Only): If the filter is prematurely loaded with large lint or surface debris, you can very gently vacuum the air-entry side. However, this only removes surface dust and does not clean the deep fibers.
