Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Are K (Kapture) Filter products compatible with my existing housings?

Yes. Our filter cartridges are engineered for 100% seamless interchangeability with global brands such as Pall, Parker, Hydac, 3M Cuno, and Everpure. We match the exact dimensions, micron ratings, and seal configurations to ensure a perfect fit without any hardware modifications.

2. Where do you source your raw materials?

To guarantee premium performance, we source 100% of our raw materials from accredited manufacturers in Europe and the USA. This ensures our filter media, resins, and components meet the highest international standards for durability and chemical compatibility.

3. Can you design a filter for a non-standard application?

Absolutely. Our engineering team has over 27 years of expertise in custom-made, non-standard filtration solutions. We specialize in bespoke development for specialized dust removal, unique chemical processes, and high-pressure hydraulic applications.

4. How does your Asepsis60™ series ensure water safety for Food & Beverage?

The Asepsis60™ utilizes an advanced multi-stage membrane and carbon technology that is certified to be 100% bacteria- and fungus-safe. It removes viruses, chlorine, and odors while maintaining an antimicrobial environment, ensuring crystal-clear water for culinary and drinking use.

5. What is the benefit of “Turbulent Flow” in your oil flushing skids?

Standard flow often leaves contaminants stuck to pipe walls. K-Filter skids are designed to achieve a high Reynolds Number (Turbulent Flow), creating a “scrubbing” action that dislodges internal scale and particulates, ensuring a much deeper and faster system clean than standard circulation.

6. Do your products meet Oil & Gas industry standards?

Yes. Our Fuel Gas Coalescers and Process Cartridges are designed to meet or exceed API and ASME standards. We provide high-efficiency separation (up to 99.9% of 0.3-micron aerosols) to protect high-value assets like gas turbines and compressors.

7. How do I know when to replace my filter cartridge?

While service life varies by application, we recommend monitoring the differential pressure (ΔP). Our high-capacity depth filters are designed to hold more solids than standard filters, allowing for longer intervals between change-outs and lower operational costs.

8. What is the filtration density of the 4C/Asepsis60™ series?

These cartridges feature high-performance sub-micron technology with a 0.5-micron rating. This is fine enough to mechanically remove 99.9% of cysts such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia, as well as asbestos fibers and microscopic dirt.

9. What are the primary applications for this filter?

It is specifically designed for Cold Cup Vending and high-quality drinking water applications. It ensures premium “ingredient water” for cold beverages by removing chlorine, off-tastes, and odors that can ruin the sensory profile of food and drinks.

10. Does the filter require an electrical connection?

No. These are mechanical pressure-driven filters that operate entirely without electricity, making them easy to integrate into any commercial kitchen or vending setup.

11. Is the Asepsis60™ a direct substitute for the Pentair Everpure* 4C?

Yes. The Asepsis60™ is engineered as a 100% seamless interchange. It fits the same filter heads (like QL3B or QC7I) and meets or exceeds the flow rate and contaminant reduction standards of the 4C, while offering the added benefit of K-Filter’s specialized antimicrobial media.

12. Does this filter remove fluoride?

No. Like most carbon-based sub-micron filters in this class, it is designed to remove contaminants while leaving behind healthy trace minerals and fluoride.

How often should the cartridge be replaced? A: For optimal performance, it is recommended to replace the cartridge:

Every 60,000 litters

When the flow rate becomes “inconveniently slow” or pressure drops below 10 psi.

At least once every 6 to 12 months to ensure biological safety.

Our Asepsis60™ cartridges are 100% compatible substitutes for:

4C | EC110 | EC210 | 4FC-EFS | FC5-S | and other industry-standard models.
