Engineering Purity: The FDA-Grade Advantage

Our Purewound Polypropylene cartridges are manufactured to meet the highest international standards for safety and performance:

100% Virgin Polypropylene: Formulated with FDA-compliant materials, ensuring zero binders, resins, or lubricants that could leach into your process.

Extremely Low Media Migration: Specialized “locked-fiber” winding technology prevents “lint” or fiber release, protecting sensitive downstream equipment.

Viscosity Mastery: Designed to handle high-viscosity fluids with ease, maintaining high flow rates where standard filters cause excessive pressure drops.

Superior Thermal Stability: Safely withstands operating temperatures up to 70°C, making it suitable for a wide range of process water and chemical application

Precision End Connections for Every Housing

To ensure a 100% bypass-free operation, we offer the Purewound Series with a variety of industry-standard end-cap configurations used across the USA, Europe, and the Middle East:

Targeted Contaminant Removal

The Purewound Series is your first line of defense, ensuring a high reduction of:

Sand & Silt: Protecting high-pressure pumps and RO membranes.

Rust & Scale: Removing pipeline debris in aging industrial systems.

Hard Dirt Particles: Polishing process fluids to meet strict quality specs.

FAQ: Purewound Spiral Wound Cartridges

1. Why are different end connections important?

A standard “stacked” filter can sometimes allow bypass if the seal isn’t perfect. By using Code 7 or Code 3 (O-Ring)connections, you create a mechanical “lock” in the housing. This is essential for Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Food-Gradeapplications where even 1% bypass can ruin expensive membranes or contaminate a batch.

2. Is the “Spiral Core” strong enough for high-viscosity fluids?

Yes. Our cartridges are built on a reinforced spiral core (available in Polypropylene or Stainless Steel). This core provides the structural “backbone” needed to prevent collapse when filtering thick oils, resins, or syrups under high differential pressure.

3. Can I use these for chemical filtration?

Polypropylene has excellent broad-spectrum chemical resistance. It is highly effective for filtering most acids, alkalis, and aqueous solutions. For aggressive solvents or temperatures above 70°C, please consult us about our Cotton or PTFE options

4. How does “True Depth Filtration” save me money?

Unlike surface filters that clog quickly, a Purewound Depth Filter traps dirt through its entire cross-section. This means the cartridge can hold a significantly higher volume of solids (sand/silt) before the pressure drop forces a change-out, lowering your annual filter spend.
