2. Can these filters handle “Thick” or Viscous liquids?
Yes. The N Series winding pattern is specifically optimized for high-viscosity fluids. The natural cotton fibers have a unique surface friction that helps trap “sticky” particles while allowing the carrier fluid to pass through at higher flow rates.
3. What is the benefit of “Bleached” Cotton?
Standard “raw” cotton contains natural oils and waxes. Bleached cotton is treated to remove these impurities, ensuring the filter does not foam or leach organic matter into your ultra-pure water or chemical stream.
4. Is the 121°C rating safe for steam applications?
The N Series is rated for liquids up to 121°C. For steam or dry heat applications exceeding this, we recommend moving to our Purewound High-Temp Series on a Stainless Steel core.
5. Are these cartridges cost-effective?
Absolutely. By providing 2–4 times the surface area of shorter filters, you reduce the frequency of maintenance. In high-labor markets like the USA and Europe, reducing change-out frequency significantly lowers your total operational cost.
