K Pure M Metal Filter Cartridges Series: Stainless Steel Sintered & Wire Mesh Cartridges for Extreme Environments
In the world of industrial process filtration, some environments are too harsh for polymers. High-viscosity polymers, corrosive acids, and high-pressure steam require a filter that won’t compromise. The K Filter K Pure M Series Metal Filter Cartridges is a precision-engineered Stainless Steel Filter Cartridge, constructed from multi-layer 316L or 304L stainless steel. Designed for High Temperatures, High Pressures, and High Viscosities, these elements represent the ultimate in structural integrity and long-term filtration economy.
Diffusion-Bonded Excellence
At the core of the K Pure M Series Metal Filter Cartridges lies a proprietary vacuum-sintering process that achieves Molecular Diffusion Bonding. Unlike standard mesh filters that rely on physical weaving alone, our five-layer matrix is fused into a single, rigid, and porous structure. This eliminates wire migration and ensures that the Graded Pore Geometry remains fixed, even when subjected to hydraulic shocks or high-viscosity “slugs.”

The Sintered Precision Advantage: Engineered for the Impossible
The K Pure M Series Metal Filter Cartridges is defined by its vacuum-sintered architecture and rugged welding:
- Five-Layer Sintered Matrix: Our standard construction features five layers of 316L stainless steel mesh, fused under high-temperature vacuum sintering. This creates a monolithic filter plate that is incredibly strong and dimensionally stable.
- Graded Pore Technology: The M Series features a “Coarse-to-Fine” internal gradient. Large particles are trapped on the outer layers, while microscopic contaminants are captured deep within the sintered felt, resulting in superior dirt-holding capacity and extended service life.
- Extreme Thermal & Chemical Resilience: Capable of operating in environments exceeding 300°C and resistant to aggressive acids and corrosive process fluids.
- Cylindrical or Pleated Options: * Cylindrical: Ideal for high-pressure backwashing and heavy sludge.
- Pleated: Maximizes surface area for high-flow, low-pressure-drop applications.
- Zero Fiber Migration: Unlike spun or wound filters, the argon-arc and plasma-welded construction ensures no media migration, even under massive pressure fluctuations.

FAQ: Stainless Steel Process Filtration
1. Why choose a Sintered Metal filter over a Polypropylene one?
Polypropylene filters are disposable and temperature-limited. The K Pure M Series is a “Permanent Asset.” It is designed for fluids that are too hot or too viscous for plastic, such as hot polymers, steam, and corrosive chemicals. Most importantly, the M Series is cleanable and reusable, drastically reducing the “cost-per-liter” over the life of the plant.
2. How do you clean the K Pure M Series?
Depending on the contaminant, these cartridges can be cleaned via ultrasonic bath, chemical solvent back-flushing, or high-pressure steam. This “Renewable” nature makes them the preferred choice for remote refineries and offshore platforms where managing filter waste is difficult.
3. What is the benefit of the 5-layer sintered mesh?
The 5-layer structure provides a balance of filtration accuracy and mechanical strength. The inner layers provide the precision micron rating, while the outer layers provide the structural “skeleton” to prevent the filter from bursting or collapsing under high differential pressure (ΔP).
4. Are these suitable for High-Viscosity liquids?
Absolutely. The rigid nature of the 316L Stainless Steel means the pores will not “stretch” or deform when pushing thick fluids like resins, adhesives, or heavy crude oils through the media.
5. What types of gaskets are available for sealing?
To ensure a bypass-free installation, we offer optional gaskets in Viton, EPDM, PTFE, and Silicone, allowing the M Series to maintain a perfect seal even in chemically aggressive process lines.
6. Is it available in Super Duplex materials?
Yes. The K Pure M Series is available in Super Duplex . especially for clients in Desalination (RO), Offshore Oil & Gas, and Marine Engineering where standard 316L stainless steel can suffer from “pitting” or stress corrosion in high-chloride environments.
Q: When should I upgrade from 316L to Super Duplex?
A: If your process fluid has a High Chloride content (Seawater/Brine) or if the operating temperature in a corrosive environment exceeds 60°C, 316L is at risk of stress corrosion cracking. Super Duplex is the mandatory choice for these “High-Chloride” or “Sour Gas” environments.
Q: Is the cleaning process different for Super Duplex?
A: No. You can still use Ultrasonic, Chemical, and Backwash protocols. In fact, Super Duplex is more resistant to the aggressive acids often used in “Deep Cleaning” cycles, making it even easier to restore to its original flow state.
