Temporary Strainer

K Filter A temporary strainer is a filtering device used in pipelines to flushing before starting regular operation of the piping remove debris and particles from flowing fluids temporarily. It is typically installed upstream of sensitive equipment like pumps, valves, meters, and other machinery to protect them from damage caused by solid particles or contaminants present in the fluid.

Temporary strainers are often used during commissioning or maintenance activities when there is a high likelihood of debris or contaminants being present in the system. They are designed to be easily installed and removed without interrupting the flow of the fluid significantly.

Temporary strainers come in various forms, including cone-shaped, basket-shaped, or plate-shaped designs, depending on the specific application and requirements. They are usually made from materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel, or other alloys suitable for the operating conditions of the pipeline.
