Clean series ESPs are particulate control devices that use electrical forces to move particles from the air stream to the collection cylindrical honeycomb structure filter cell. Particles passing through the precipitator are given a negative electrical charge by being forced to pass through corona discharge path. Once the particle has been negatively charged, it is forced to the positively charged cell plate/filter. Particles are removed from the filter cell by a knocking action.
